Airports
To reach La Paz, we've found the most convenient airport to fly into is San Jose Del Cabo Airport (SJD), which is about 87 miles from La Paz. The drive takes about 2 1/2 hours.
La Paz International Airport (LAP) is nearby; however, it has limited commercial airline service from the United States. La Paz is an option for private aircraft and it is an airport of entry where you can clear Mexican customs.
Airport to La Paz
There are a few options to get from the airports to La Paz:
By Hired Driver: We like to offer our guests the option of booking a private car and driver to pick you up at the airport and drop you off in La Paz. If you would like to use this option, please contact Octavio Aviles at Turispancho. When booking, please let them know you are staying at the Paraiso Del Mar Resort in La Paz and they will know where to drop you off.

This service costs around $150 each way excluding tip (payment required in cash).
If you do drive, you can choose to take the toll road via Todos Santos. Just before Todos Santos is a great market called Agricole and makes for a nice stop.
Drivers are also available for day excursions to nearby towns like Todos Santos (Hotel California) and Ventana (nice beach and kiteboarding).
By Car Rental: While you won’t really need a car while you stay at El Nido, it is an option to get to La Paz. Several major car rental companies are available at both airports.
Arrival in La Paz
The condo is located at the Paraiso del Mar Resort, which is isolated from the town of La Paz on its own peninsula. To access the resort, you must take a water taxi (small boat) from a dock at the Marina Cortez. If arriving via our recommended driver service, they are familiar with this. If needed, the address is: Topete 2415, Zona Comercial, 23060 La Paz, B.C.S., Mexico. If driving yourself, there is usually availability to leave a vehicle at the marina, for a fee. The boat ride is only 8 minutes and scheduled service runs every 30 minutes from 7 am to 12 am. From La Paz, it leaves on the hour and half hour. And from the peninsula/resort, it leaves on the quarter of and quarter after. When you get to the peninsula/resort side, they will have a van that will take you direct to our building. If you need an earlier boat on your departure day, you need schedule this with the Resort Office.
